Learn how to tie the Sweetmeat Sally

The Sweetmeat Sally is a new fly for 2024 and tied by Signature Tyer, Garrison Doctor. The Sweetmeat Sally is an amazing euro pattern and works incredibly well imitating a small Stonefly and Yellow Sally. We have also had great luck using this fly as an attractor on some of our nymphing rigs, or on the dropper of our hopper-dropper setup. Regardless of how you plan to use it, you need to carry this pattern in multiple sizes and colors try it out next time you hit your local water.

• Hook: Umpqua 450 BL
• Bead: Gold Slotted Tungsten, Fulling Mill or Semperfli
• Thread: UTC or Semperfli– Wood Duck
• Legs: Barred Sexi-Floss
• Wire: UTC- Golden Olive, BR
• Thorax: Hares Ear- Tan
• Collar: CDC Tufts- Tan

• Vise – Mongoose Vice
• Scissors – Dr. Slick Arrow Point
• Bodkin – Rising Stout Bodkin
• Whip Finish – Tiemco Midge Whip Finish
• Tool Kit – Loon Tool Kit
