In this week’s episode of Tying Tuesdays, watch as Brady ties the UV Veil Egg!
This pattern was developed while filming our Loon UV Colored Fly Finish Review. In between takes the idea came to build an egg using their awesome UV finishes. From there, why not add a veil like the Nuke Egg to elevate the pattern a bit? So far, this little fly has brought me a lot of success and holds up great. This pattern has shined for me during a rainbow spawn targeting the following brown trout. The UV Veil Egg is lightweight and best fished as a dropper or under an indicator with split-shot/a heavier anchor fly to help get it into the feeding zone.
