How to tie a Foam Sally
Summertime is incoming. That means there are stoneflies abound. In clean well oxygenated water this includes the Yellow Sally. This little yellow fly is a warm weather friend. Yellow Sally’s are ready to go starting mid-day and into the evening. For me this makes them an optimal choice for a dry dropper rig. The Foam Sally is a go to in this situation. It is one of the more realistic foam flies out there. This fly is excellent on its own, with a small BWO or midge dry trailing or in a dropper rig with a juicy bedhead below.
