How to tie Mayer’s Tungsten Tube Midge

“Landon Mayer spends a lot of time on the water helping people land that fish of a lifetime and this is one of the tools he uses to get it done. Although this fly is tied slightly differently than he does, it is still a super buggy midge imitation that will work on picky fish. If you have your heart set on tying to his spec you will not use a base of thread on the body, but rather a base of glue that will help with durability and add even more segmentation to the body. Don’t forget you can lose the bead for less weight. Feel free to play with adding some poly yarn to imitate a gill tuft sticking out over the eye of the hook.”
