The Neon Nightmare
The Neon Nightmare is a pattern created by Umpqua tyer Matt McCannel. The Neon Nightmare is an awesome fly for technical tailwaters, and a great winter pattern. The Neon Nightmare can be fished as an attractor and can also imitate a dying midge when tied in orange, or a Caddis larva in green. If you are new to tying flies this is a great pattern to start out with as it uses minimal materials. The Neon Nightmare has a UV finish that will withstand the nasty takes that come along with it.
