How to tie the Buttery Buckskin
The Buttery Buckskin is an all around deadly pattern to keep in your box. If you tie this fly in a smaller size, you can achieve a great imitation of a cream larva. Also, try fishing this pattern in a larger size during the summer when the water is running high; and bugs have been dislodged from the rocks. This pattern is most effective from sizes 16-22, and we recommend having a few variations in your box. Don’t be afraid to try this fly, especially in a tailwater; you won’t regret it.
