How to tie the Nuke Egg
The Nuke (Nuclear) Egg is a deadly little fly pattern. This egg imitation is one of the more lifelike out there. The Egg Veil has an amazing ability to create a translucent exterior mimicking the outer membrane of a real trout egg. This pattern shines in a flame color but is also excellent in a variety of darker and lighter shades. Chartreuse can be a killer color in some systems. This bug is a solid attractor in a multi nymph rig. We tend to fish this bug during shoulder seasons while targeting the non-spawning fish that are following up the runs made by others.
