“This little Mysis pattern may be just what you need when fishing certain technical tailwaters. Andrew Reid developed the Ultra Mysis to help fool pressured and picky trout in water where they see a lot of naturals fed out of the reservoirs above their home. The wire body assists in finding the right depth while the tail and under hackle create lively and buggy movement. The eyes can be the most challenging part of this pattern. If you want to make it a little simpler you can always utilize pre-made mono eyes. When heading to the Blue River in Silverthorn below Lake Dillion, the Taylor River below Taylor Park Reservoir, or any other tailwater with Mysis population this is a pattern you want to be sure to have.”
