How to tie The Bubble Gut
Created by Umpqua Feather Merchants signature tyer Scott Voyles, the Bubble Gut Midge is an awesome midge pupa offering. With an abundance of midges on Colorado rivers through the year this pattern can slay. Tied using natural materials I really enjoy how this pattern looks and behaves when fished. The Quill body offers excellent natural segmentation and the CDC puff with the underlying glass bead creates the illusion of an emerging wing and air sack that matches the natural insects wonderfully. This pattern is great in a multi nymph rig and also fishes great as a dropper under a wide range of dries.
