How to tie the Flux Capacitor
The Flux Capacitor was created by Juan Ramirez. Juan has many patterns in the MFC catalog that prove to be successful out here in the west. Typically, this fly is tied in the 18-24 range. I changed it by tying it much larger, making it an effective stillwater fly. Blood worms in stillwater scenarios are much larger (10-16 range) and typically dwell in the bottom of the lake/pond until they begin their emergence.
They like the bottom of lakes/ponds with structure, and hang out in transition zones of depth. Fishing this fly under an indicator as your bottom fly or on a slow sinking line can be very effective. Give this fly subtle and slow movement while you fish it, and hold on.
