Flashback Black Beauty
A masterpiece of simplicity, the Black Beauty created by Pat Dorsey is a fish fooling machine. If you are an avid winter fisher or love to keep tail water fish on their toes you know the relevance of this fly. What do you need when imitating midge larva? Not much, a hook, some black thread, copper wire and a little superfine dubbing. Add some tinsel and you have an excellent bend of an attractor/imitative fly. This fly is best fished deep depending on where fish are holding. Make sure to add weight or weighted flies as needed to help get this fly in the column where fish are holding.
