The buckle that creates the handle loop at the person end of the leash is very secure, to the point that it’s difficult for me to open – I usually choose to just step into the loop and then tighten it around my waist/hips. Review: “We have a 6month old puppy who is testing his boundaries with leash walking still, so a secure clip and strong attachment are important qualities for us to have in our product. We have recently started loose leash training and were in the market for a 6ft. I liked that this leash could be hand or waist held, had a short walking option and strong manufacturing. All of the reviews I read gave me a positive feeling and that has continued since we got the product and started using it. One feature that I wasn’t looking for but has been nice for me is the padded hand grip.
