“The famed Utah Killer Bug got that way for a reason. It is one of the best “Guide Flies” out there. Amazingly simple to tie and works like a charm. Our version is an updated anchor fly for your heavy bug needs. It shines on an Euro rig or even under an indicator when you want to avoid using added weight and prefer to maintain contact with your flies. The Semperfli Dirty bug yarn is a wonderfully buggy material all around but I have also found the Caddis Pupa to be the best color match to the infamous Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift Yarn in Oyster color offered in the fly tying world. If you don’t need it as an anchor fly it still fishes great as a lightweight pattern when omitting the bead and lead wire. This pattern works great as a wide array of larvans or crustacean-like insects. From tailwaters to freestones and even stillwaters, the Utah Killer Bug is a must!”
