I use it to carry three different colored Pearsall Gossamer Silk Threads to tie North country spider flies. Each section will hold nearly an entire Pearsall spool of thread. The two rubber gaskets hold the tag ends down. It simplifies carrying many different spools of thread if you plan on tying while your stream side. The discounted price makes it even a better deal. I carry three of these with me which covers nine different colors but only requires the space of three normal sized spools.”
