Review: “I have had a few pairs of boots and borrowed others through the years. These are by far the most comfortable I have ever worn!!! They offer maximum comfort around the ankle where wader material usually bunches up and digs in or cuts off circulation and they are super easy to get on and off. They are made easy to get on and off because of the BOA system, but the neoprene section around the ankle makes it even easier. I can get them on or off in less than 2 minutes!
You do sacrifice a little in the stability department with the added comfort (the neoprene around the ankle) so I wouldn’t suggest these to older people or those with ankle problems or weak legs.
Durability wise they are holding up as well as any other Korkers I have had. The one BOA wire needed to be replaced right away, but Korkers sent me two spare wires immediately and proved they are a great customer service company.
I have worn these for 1.5 seasons and can’t wait for the next few.
I have only one major problem with these, the newest OmniTrax system is harder to swap soles with. I don’t know why, but maybe it’s the smaller pull tab or the material is thicker where the rear tab is. But whatever it is, they require much more grip strength and usually a sit down to change soles. Nevertheless, they are better than having a permanently attached sole, especially when getting in and out of our handmade drift boat with its nice interior.
