The Beadhead Prince Nymph is an all time favorite fly!! It seems to catch trout everywhere. In this video, James from InTheRifle ties a weighted beadhead version of the classic Prince Nymph. This version makes a great lead fly and the added weight really helps the fly get down in fast water. I prefer to tie my Prince Nymphs with red thread, but black thread also works. James also ties this Prince with Brown Hackle, but Partridge is another one of his favorite materials to use on this fly. Both work just fine. A MUST have fly in any fly box. Both professionals and beginners swear by the Prince. When you don’t know what to use in trout country….just tie on a Prince!!
