Stimulator Fly Tying Video Instructions

Video tutorial courtesy of our friends at InTheRiffle

The Stimulator is an amazing fly pattern developed by fly tying legend Randall Kaufmann. Originally, it was developed to imitate a stonefly adult, but it also imitates a grasshopper, caddis or even large drake mayflies! It is also a great dry fly for fishing a dropper underneath. The bushy profile and deer hair make the Stimulator a highly buoyant fly. Most often it’s tied in olive, orange, black and yellow & in sizes from #06-16.
